Hi myself and 3 friends are heading to cuba in august and staying at the Playa Pesquero and we can't wait. It will be our first visit so just a quick not to see if anyone has any tips for us?
Places to go, things to see? We are ladies in our early, mid twenties so do enjoy going out in the evenings aswell as relaxing and seeing all the sites. Is there much?? I recommend becoming friendly with the animation staff Sorry Ladies, there is really nothing to do in the evenings off of your resort In Guardalavaca you have the public beach which often hosts beach parties for the locals and tourists to enjoy and then just up from the beach you have the partly open-air La Roca Disco which does not open until I would say probably a Saturday night is the best for La Roca.
I am sure you will have a great time, but like the previous poster suggested Thanks for the info so far!! If we were to head into guarda.. Also any general tips for us wud be great what to bring, where to go as we have never been to cuba would be much appreciated!! The animacion staff are always eager to accompany tourists to La Roca as it's a 'freebie' trip for them as you will pay for the taxi, pay for their entrance fee which includes two or three drinks if I remember correctly.
I only went once but I must say it was well worth a visit. As LoonyLou said the PP is quite isolated. Most people stay on resort in the evening and usually watch the show after they have dined, either that or sit and talk in the Lobby Bar. Friday night at La Roca is a set fee and includes your drinks Saturday night is just a couple of cuc's entrance and buy your own drinks Sundays isn't too bad either.
Good choice for a resort You will have a great time Coste Verde was my first place I visited in Cuba Hey there Newtocubauk We went to La Roca disco in January and had lots of fun Apparently, in Cuba ladies are not allowed to go "out" without a man.
